Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Driver

Job Summary
A Warehouse Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and organize materials within a warehouse or distribution environment. This role also includes using computer systems to accurately record incoming and outgoing inventory transactions. The position ensures materials are handled efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.


Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas
• Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse or production areas
• Stack, store, and organize inventory according to company procedures
• Use computer systems or warehouse management systems (WMS) to input, update, and track incoming and outgoing orders
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Follow all safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including aisles and storage zones
• Support general warehouse duties when not operating equipment

Basic Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred
• Basic experience using computers or inventory systems preferred
• Ability to follow safety rules and operational instructions
• Basic math and reading skills for inventory handling

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to required weight limits
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods
• Ability to work in indoor warehouse environments with varying temperatures

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting
• Exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise levels, and industrial materials
• May include shift work, overtime, or weekend schedules depending on operational needs
