Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1950 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Will allow the consideration of first-time travelers only if they have several years of experience caring for post-op surgical patients, especially orthopedics and gastrointestinal surgeries. - Experience with wound vacs and solid orthopedic experience required. - Familiarity with orthopedic equipment required. - Both medical and surgical skillsets required.

Special Requests: - If you want to take 4-7 days off, you must be willing to make up that time. - You must fulfill the full 13 week contract.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Medical-surgical telemetry unit caring for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, bariatric, and GYN post-op patients, with some medicine overflow. - Busy, fast-paced unit that usually receives 10-20 post-ops/day. - Includes cardiac and O2 monitoring capability. - High-turnover environment with multiple admissions and discharges per shift. - Uses wound vacs and orthopedic equipment.

Shift & Scheduling: - Self scheduling with manager final approval. - Every other weekend. - Will be expected to work 3/5 winter holidays.

Floating Requirements: - Float to like units within skill set.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
