Floating Food Service Helper

A 3 hour Floating Food Service Helper position is available on a daily basis when food service employees are scheduled to work in the Nazareth Area School District. The Director of Food Service will provide your schedule and building assignment to meet the needs of the organization. In this position, there may be times when you are assigned to the Food Service Office to work on food service related tasks. Responsibilities include but not limited to: serving, dishwashing, assisting in the kitchen, back-up cashier, miscellaneous kitchen tasks as needed and office related tasks assigned by the Food Service Director.

Qualifications include but not limited to: familiar with food service activities, ability to understand basic nutrition, sanitation, and federal regulations, knowledge of the National School Lunch Program desirable, ability to work on a team to accomplish a task, ability to work with students and district employees, ability to stand, squat, lift 40 lbs., use kitchen equipment, ability to operate dishwasher, ability to manage handling/counting of money. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Nazareth Area Educational Support Personnel Association, 26-27 rate is $20.19/hour (new EEs start at 90% of rate).
