As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague – also known as a Beauty Advisor – you are the trusted expert customers turn to for all things beauty. You act as an educator and beauty expert by offering advice, conducting product demonstrations, and providing tailored consultations that may include makeup application and skincare recommendations. Your deep product knowledge and ability to stay current on trends allow you to introduce customers to new items and innovations that match their unique needs and style. Building lasting client relationships is at the heart of your role. You proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through consistent follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service, always with the goal of exceeding expectations and achieving sales goals. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Greet teammates with a warm hello, wear your name badge with pride, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers. Review sales goals, new arrivals, top‑selling items, and current promotions to be fully informed and ready to engage, educate and sell with confidence. Offer a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships and bring customers back. Maintain a shoppable space by keeping the counter and sales floor organized, refreshing signage and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves as needed. Finish strong by sharing Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have all they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you while walking the package around and using the customer’s name. Support teammates with honesty, care and collaboration to better serve customers and communities. Continuously improve by taking pride in work, achieving sales goals, and learning from one another to deliver individual and store results. Who You Are Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Can understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers and supervisors. Can read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English. Delivers personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application and educating on benefits. Drives sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized, shoppable space, leveraging clienteling tools, and staying up to date through ongoing training and vendor education. Meets and surpasses daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service. Acquires new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits. Effectively uses point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience. Has at least one year of customer service or selling experience. Essential Physical Requirements Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing and reaching with arms and hands. Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders and reaching, including above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
