Senior Automotive Technician - Clay, NY

Davidson Ford of Clay has immediate openings for a Senior Automotive Technician to join our busy service department! We’re looking for an experienced technician who can diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and/or electrical systems. Pay Range: $30 - $40, Flat Rate Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday Sign-on bonus available for qualified technicians based on experience! Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of automotive systems, including suspension, steering, alignment, coolant systems, engine, electrical, and transmission. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools. Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology. Keep advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Required Skills Valid New York State Inspectors License. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transmission diagnostics, and/or engine performance. Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently with appropriate time management. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver's License. Preferred Skills Previous Ford Dealership experience. ASE Certifications.
