EDUCATION

A high school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of One (1) year experience with Consumer or Commercial loan processing or loan servicing preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
• Proficient in interpersonal relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient word processing and spreadsheet software skills.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to receive and accurately service all consumer, commercial, agricultural and SBA loan files; coordinating work within the unit or department, as well as with other departments and units; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries from customers and internal associates or requests for information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. 1. Performs primary or back-up functions for various duties including pre-booking, booking, servicing, and/or processing payoffs for all loans.
2. 2. Performs a variety of duties to receive and accurately maintain the servicing of loan files by performing the following duties:
   1. a. Process and monitor loan payoffs, adjustments and modifications.
   2. b. Reconcile various servicing general ledger accounts, clearing exceptions and resolving issues.
   3. c. Assists with loan disbursements and reconciliations.
   4. d. Assists with set up and maintenance of servicing system.
   5. e. Conducts research analysis and offers solutions to borrower and internal inquiries to loan status.
   6. f. Assists bank personnel regarding the servicing of loans; responds to operations questions.
   7. g. Monitoring insurance requirements
   8. h. Processing payment with participant banks
   9. i. Monitoring of construction loans
   10. j. Ordering of appraisals
   11. k. SBA 1502 reporting and payoff reporting
   12. l. Demonstrates a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
   13. m. Demonstrates a deep attention to detail and can escalates situations through management if necessary.
   14. o. Complies with Bank policy and supports leadership goals in a professional and positive manner.
   15. p. Assists supervisor with duties as assigned.
3. 3. Coordinates departmental tasks with coworkers inside and outside the department to ensure an efficient process and the completion of essential tasks needing proper segregation of duties.
4. 4. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
5. 5. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests form customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
6. 6. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
7. 7. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, overall safety and soundness, and the bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

ANCILLARY DUTIES

1. 1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re‑designed depending upon individual or departmental circumstances.
2. 2. Requires prolonged periods of sitting to perform most of the essential duties.
