Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment working 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM5:00 PM). The Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and operating specialized imaging and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Active RCIS or ARRT certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures required
• Knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety required
• Experience operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required
• Ability to work efficiently in emergency and high-acuity situations required
• On-call flexibility preferred if required by the facility

Procedures Responsibilities include preparing and assisting during cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiograms, angioplasty and stent placements, electrophysiology support, monitoring hemodynamic data, operating fluoroscopy equipment, maintaining sterile fields, preparing procedural equipment, documenting procedure details, monitoring patient status throughout procedures, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with physicians and the cardiovascular team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
