Database Administrator (hybrid)

Information Technology / Telecommunications Database Administrator (hybrid) Austin, Texas Temp Project Estimated Duration: 2 months with possible extensions. Work Setting: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite). Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Qualifications Experience with Database management systems, data warehouse management, and decision support tools (5+ years) Experience with Development, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts (5+ years) Experience with Business Objects and building the data dictionary (5+ years) Experience with Database access tools for application delivery (5+ years) Experience with Analysis, planning, and management reporting functions (5+ years) Experience with Benchmarking processes and techniques (5+ years) Experience with Data warehousing data population and data modeling techniques for target structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models (5+ years) Experience with GUI-based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or similar tools (5+ years) Experience with Implementation with enterprise class databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar technologies (5+ years) Experience with Implementation with analytical and reporting tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, or similar tools (5+ years) Experience with Data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, Structured Query Language (SQL), end-user tools, database and SQL (5+ years) Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy or similar tools Preferred Experience with Oracle Database (5+ years) Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report creation (5+ years) Experience with M204 database (1+ years) Responsibilities Support the installation of database software and migrations to new data management system software levels, and test the migrations to ensure data reliability and functionality Analyze, design, modify, and maintain database structures Design and implement procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures Establish and implement database security controls and user access levels Evaluate and recommend database software packages for potential acquisition Prepare and develop database documentation, procedures, and definitions for data dictionaries Perform logical and physical data modeling, design relational database models, and create physical data models from logical data models #J-18808-Ljbffr
