Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Conduct pre‑anesthesia assessment. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induce, maintain, and facilitate emergence from anesthesia. Monitor the patient’s physiological condition. Perform clinical intervention as needed. Requirements M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX certification. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Current license as a physician. Provide articles of incorporation for either an "S"‑Corp or "C"‑Corp. Maintain own malpractice insurance coverage for full state limits.
