The Palm Beach Gardens location is the Air-breathing propulsion center of excellence specializing in the design, analysis and system integration of ramjets, scramjets and other advanced air-breathing propulsion systems.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms design of one or more moderately complex or portions of structural components and functional systemsWith limited supervision, applies theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of more complex components, structures, and sub-assembliesResponds in a timely manner to all requests and explores all avenues within authority and makes appropriate referrals to other sourcesMakes thoughtful and valuable suggestions and recommendations for improving own work and/or group's workEstablish requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systemsRelease results as design data after review from other engineersDocument results of design activitiesBasic Qualifications for level 2Requires Bachelors in STEM plus 2 years of related experience or Master's Degree in STEM, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferredAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisiteExcellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) softwareKnowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Basic Qualifications for level 3Requires Bachelors in STEM plus 5 years of related experience or Master's Degree in STEM plus 3 years of experience or PhD in STEM plus at least 1 year of experience, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferredAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisiteProficiency with Siemens NXKnowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Ability and willingness to travelPreferred Qualifications both levelsCurrent active Security ClearanceWorking knowledge of NXKnowledge of general machine shop fabrication processes, additive manufacture experience desirableUnderstanding of design for assembly / design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM)Ability and willingness to travelPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
