Senior Process Engineer

Job Description Responsible for continuous improvement of injection molding processes. Works with production management, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify process activities to support customer requirements. Implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and increase utilization of labor and materials. Motivate and provide direction to Process Technicians, ensuring appropriate training and evaluation. Develop and maintain process standards for all manufactured parts. Review production and operating records and resolve technical processing issues. Follow established action plans for processes out of range, specify project management and buy off new equipment. Manage exploration of new materials and processes to achieve best quality, reliability, and efficiency. Motivate and train mold setters, ensuring appropriate training and evaluation. Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum processes to meet customer expectations. Compile and analyze data to assist budget preparation and reduce operational costs. Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance. Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects. Enforce safety rules daily. Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and cooperate with employees at all levels. Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arriving on time. Required Education Level Plastics / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering, Technology Degree or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions. Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge) 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Injection Molding with presses ranging from 85-3200 tons. At least 2 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry. Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants that may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. Master root cause troubleshooting with problem solving. Experience with valve gate, hot runner systems, and scientific injection molding principles. Desire to be hands‑on and overcome challenges that arise on a daily basis. Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge) RJG Master Molder 1 and Master Molder 2 training.
