Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Hempstead, New York
Shift: Full-Time
Salary: $50–$60 per hour (based on experience)

Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist (PT)

Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery and quality of life in a supportive skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate physical conditions, symptoms, and medical history

• Diagnose movement dysfunction through observation and assessment

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Coach patients in therapeutic exercises and stretches

• Provide hands-on therapy (e.g., massage) to relieve pain and promote healing

• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate patient records

• Educate patients and families on in-home care and recovery expectations

Candidate Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist

• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred

• Nursing home or skilled nursing experience preferred

Critical Qualifications

• Proficiency in physical therapy techniques and modalities

• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills

• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities

• Familiarity with SigmaCare and Net Health preferred
