The work encompasses a wide range of repair, replacement, and improvement services to restore dependability and sustainability to wastewater treatment and chemical facilities, or to increase capacity and/or efficiency. Projects range in size and scope, but routinely span from component assessment, design, and procurement to site installation and commissioning.PRINCIPLE DUTIES:Machinist must have knowledge of, and be able to competently and safely operate manual and CNC lathes, set up and dial in parts with minimal instructionUse manual and power tools, overhead cranes and forklifts, and other machine tools as assigned.Use metal cutting tooling.Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments as assigned.Read drawings and make sketches.Interact with and clearly communicate with co-workers in a team-like atmosphere.Stand on your feet at least 8 hr per day.Dead lift at least 50 lbs occasionallyEnsure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplaceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:3 years of Machinist / Millwright experience in a constructions or manufacturing environment. 2 years apprenticeship and/or Associates degree. 2 years of experience working with motorized equipment and various array of manual and electrical hand tools.
