Jefferson Health New Jersey has full-time opportunities for Gastroenterologists to join our growing GI practice in south Jersey. Our practice offers full scope GI service: Inpatient consult service, ER call coverage, outpatient clinic and endoscopy at surgery center. The group offers comprehensive gastrointestinal healthcare services, including advanced diagnostics and endoscopic therapies. The practice is proud to promote a patient-centric culture, comprehensive approach to individualized patient care, and a positive work environment for the physicians and staff.

• The practice currently consists of five physicians who practice general and advanced gastroenterology, and everyone has a special niche interest.
• The position is a mix of inpatient and outpatient work
• Physicians participate in a call coverage pool of 1:6
• Work with GI fellows and other trainees
• Academic appointment at Sydney Kimmel College of Medicine.

Endo centers are at Washington Township, Stratford, and Cherry Hill hospitals + 5 other locations

The division is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, which includes 190 Olympus scopes.

• MD or DO from an accredited program
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of an ACGME accredited GI fellowship
• Board certified/eligible in IM, GI
• Appropriate licenses and certifications

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson s clinical entities or at the University. The new Silvestri Tower with all-private patient rooms has opened at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, the last phase of a three-year, $222 million campus revitalization project.

In addition to new patient care units with private rooms, the new patient pavilion also has a new front entrance with a covered drop off (at 555 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080); a two-story, light-filled lobby; state-of-the-art kitchen for personalized patient room service; modern Atrium Caf dining, with access to an outdoor dining terrace; a new rooftop helistop, and much more.
