Surgery Scheduler

Role Overview: The Surgery Scheduler ensures efficient coordination of surgical procedures by obtaining clinical codes, scheduling surgeries, and collaborating with facilities to confirm all requirements are met. They verify physician credentials, coordinate provider schedules, and support compliance with ethical and privacy standards. Key Responsibilities Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and clinical information from practice staff. Determine OR time needed, schedule procedures, and arrange anesthesia coverage. Confirm physician credentialing and ensure all surgical requirements are fulfilled. Coordinate provider schedules, including time-off, travel, and meetings. Adhere to ethical standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma preferred. At least one year of medical office experience is highly preferred.
