Mechanical Engineer (EIT) – 3-5 Years
Location: San Antonio, TX
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing MEP engineering team. This individual will assist in the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of commercial, healthcare, education, municipal, and mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial building projects.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate designs with architects and other engineering disciplines.
- Assist with site visits, field investigations, and construction administration.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Support project managers in meeting project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- 3-5 years of mechanical design experience within an MEP consulting environment.
- Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Experience with load calculation software such as TRACE 3D Plus or HAP is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
