Technology Planning & Implementation Lead

Technology Planning & Implementation Lead Location: New York Success Academy, a growing network of public charter schools, is searching for a Technology Planning & Implementation Lead to oversee the transition of our technology stack to a new integrated ecosystem of Canvas, Learnosity, and a new Content Management System, for over 20,000 scholars. This role reports to the Head of Educational Technologies and involves overseeing pilots, release management, stakeholder coordination, and school adoption strategies. What You'll Own Integration Across Business, Technology, and Constraints Develop and maintain a complete, current picture of the program across all its dimensions. Serve as connective tissue between technical, operational, and school‑based stakeholders, ensuring decisions account for constraints and realities of other contexts. Surface conflicts early and drive resolution before they become problems. Represent overall program goals and constraints in every room, preventing workstream silo optimization. Voice of the Customer and the Business Continuously seek the perspective of teachers, school leaders, and business stakeholders throughout the program. Synthesize insights into actionable guidance. Inform planning, pilot design, release sequencing, and communications to keep the program grounded in user experience. Pilot Design and Release Management Own design and execution of all pilots before full migration: define sample, set success criteria, manage the process end to end, and translate findings into clear rollout recommendations. Own release management process for full implementation: sequence feature releases, set readiness criteria, and coordinate each phase launch. Ensure each release reflects lessons learned, capturing and sharing knowledge for future improvements. Program Coordination and Momentum Own coordination machinery: workstream tracking, milestone management, risk identification, decision documentation, and cross‑functional communication. Run cadence that keeps the Head of Educational Technologies, senior leadership, and stakeholders oriented. Maintain momentum across a long, multi‑stakeholder program. School Adoption and Change Management Partner with Schooling and EI teams to design adoption strategy: introduction, training, readiness assessment, and problem resolution. Own school‑side release readiness: confirm schools and operational processes are ready before each phase. Adjust rollout pace and structure based on school feedback and adoption patterns. Strong Candidates Will Also Have 8–12 years total professional experience, at least 4–5 years owning complex cross‑functional implementations. Demonstrated integration across technical, business, and user‑facing workstreams, holding the whole picture to drive decisions. Experience at the intersection of technology and business operations, translating between technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Track record of actively seeking and incorporating end‑user feedback. Background in high‑growth or fast‑moving organizations such as media, publishing, content platforms, EdTech, or related consumer tech industries. Experience in K–12 education is a plus but not required.
