Street Light Underground Utility Foreman

STREET LIGHT UNDERGROUND UTILITY FOREMAN – CDL REQUIRED

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

We are a growing traffic signal and street light contractor seeking an experienced Traffic Signal Foreman / Crew Leader to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems, street lighting, and underground utility infrastructure. Our crews typically work in teams of 2 to 3, tackling a variety of roadway infrastructure projects that improve transportation safety for the communities we serve. We value teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development, offering ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise a field crew performing traffic signal and street light installation and maintenance.
• Install, maintain, and repair traffic control systems and roadway lighting infrastructure.
• Perform underground utility construction, including conduit installation and related excavation work.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Coordinate daily job site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Operate equipment, including:
  • Mini Excavator
  • Directional Boring Unit
  • Vibratory Plow
  • Concrete Saw
  • Vactron Excavation Equipment
  • Skid Steer
  • Bucket Truck
    Digger Truck
  • Additional construction equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot field issues and make sound decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, contractors, and customers.

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 3 years of experience in traffic signal, street light, utility, or underground construction.
• Valid CDL with a clean driving record required.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in the field.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to producing high-quality work.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a construction crew preferred.
