The Durability Discipline is highly specialized with particular focus on advanced cooling designs, aerodynamics, heat transfer, lifing, coatings, high-temperature aerospace alloys, and manufacturing. HSE is seeking a dynamic individual to evaluate fielded performance of Hot Section products in commercial and military engines via fleetwide statistical analysis. This candidate will need to leverage technical acumen, curiosity and attention to detail to produce robust predictions and actionable insights to drive business decisions.Responsibilities:Optimize and execute ETL pipelines within Databricks to integrate structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources into the existing data warehouseInterrogate the data to drive insights, and incorporate advanced statistical analysis, including the adoption of AI/ML toolsUtilize a variety of data visualization tools and techniques to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, ensure data accuracy, and maintain data integrity across the analytics workflowDrive advancement, consistency, and continuous improvement of Hot Section life predictionsQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 5 years of related engineering experience.Qualifications We Prefer:Master’s Degree in Data Science or related disciplineProficiency in data engineering and database architectureKnowledge of statistical analysis techniques, especially reliability analysisExpert Python proficiency with experience working with teams in a revision managed environmentComfortable in SQL managing large datasetsExperience working on technical projects in small to midsize teamsAbility to mentor younger engineersExcellent presentation, written and verbal communication skillsWhat We Offer:Eligible for RelocationBenefitsLearn More & Apply Now!Department/Segment Overview: Hot Section Engineering (HSE)Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.What is my role type?
