Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist is responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures within the cath lab. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating imaging modalities, and ensuring adherence to safety and sterile protocols to deliver high-quality cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular interventions.
• Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment accurately.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Monitor patient status, communicate changes, and document procedural details thoroughly.
• Support patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related program.
• Current BLS certification mandatory; ACLS certification preferred.
• RCIS or RT credential with cardiac catheterization experience is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of recent cardiac cath lab experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterile technique, cardiovascular anatomy, and cardiac procedures.
• Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and attention to patient safety.
