PRN Newborn Hearing Screener

About The Job MedStar Health is looking for a Newborn Hearing Screener to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Primary Duties Conduct newborn hearing screenings using both otoacoustic emissions and automated auditory brainstem response testing equipment. Identify which babies to screen and follow correct infant handling procedures. Screening is done according to written clinic protocol as evidenced by competency‑based skills training. Perform data management duties related to the screening program. Enter screening results into the tracking system and generate and mail follow‑up letters to the appropriate people. Maintain newborn hearing screening equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and infection control protocol. Participate in meetings and committees and represent the department and hospital in community outreach efforts. Participate in multi‑disciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Some experience with computers preferred. On‑job training is required; both written and practical assessments must be passed.
