Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with Operating Room (OR) experience to join a high-volume surgical unit. The position involves providing specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth operative procedures.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Assist with postoperative care and patient education as needed.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  
  
• 
  Valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent operating room experience.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Proven expertise in neuro, ortho/spine, trauma, and robotics procedures.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification required.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team with a positive attitude.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Experience in high-acuity surgical settings, preferably trauma centers.
  
  
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including call requirements involving evenings, weekends, and up to 15 days per month.
