UX Researcher Reports To: UX Designer

BetterRX is a growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) company in the healthcare industry seeking a curious, detail-oriented UX Researcher to join our Product Team! In this role, you will help validate designs, uncover user pain points and opportunities, and build a deep understanding of the clinicians and care teams who rely on our software every day. Ideal Candidate

You are naturally curious and genuinely enjoy talking to users, whether that's a hospice nurse, a care coordinator, or a clinical admin. You know how to ask the right follow-up questions to eliminate ambiguity, listen for what's not being said, and turn a messy set of interview notes into a clear, actionable set of insights.
You're a highly organized communicator who brings order to complexity, comfortable running a study independently once you have a brief and communicating directly and efficiently in both writing and cross-functional conversations. You care about rigor and clean documentation as much as you care about the story the research tells, and you're curious about using AI to sharpen your research process along the way.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research: including interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and concept evaluation, using both qualitative and quantitative methods as appropriate.
• Partner with Product Managers and UX Design to scope out research questions, validate assumptions, and determine the right research approach across concurrent team initiatives.
• Help build and maintain reusable templates and formats for research artifacts (briefs, discussion guides, decks, reports) to bring consistency and efficiency to how research is planned, run and shared.
• Synthesize research and existing customer insight into actionable themes and recommendations, maintaining an organized, lightweight repository that Product and Design can reference.
• Communicate findings to cross-functional teams through presentations, written summaries, and working sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with users/customers, supporting recruiting, scheduling, and easier access to participants over time.
  
  
  
   

Skill Requirements

• Strong written communication skills and ability to translate research findings and data into structured documentation.
• 1–3 years of experience in a dedicated UX research role, or a research-adjacent role with a strong portfolio.
• Comfort and ability to talk with both non-technical users (e.g., nurses, care coordinators) and technical/admin users with equal ease.
• Preferred Experience: Prior exposure to healthcare or another regulated/compliance-sensitive industry (e.g., fintech, gov’t).
• Experience with AI tools and an understanding of AI-assisted research tools (e.g., transcript analysis, synthesis aids) and research repositories/tools.

Other Requirements

• Ability to work 100% remote.
• Ability to travel for internal company summits (twice annually) and product summits (twice annually).
