Tax Senior Associate- Boutique CPA Advisory Firm

We have been retained by a boutique‑style accounting firm in the Charlotte, North Carolina Metro area seeking a skilled senior tax associate (Tax Senior) with 3‑4 years of tax preparation and review experience. Responsibilities Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, businesses, high net worth individuals, pass‑through entities, C‑C­orps, S‑C­orps, and partnerships. Enter tax information into prep software programs such as CCH, ProSystem, and UltraTax. Ensure all business tax returns are filed in accordance with firm guidelines and federal regulations. Collaborate with the IRS when resolution is required. Work closely with partners on special cases. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, business administration, or a related field. CPA‑eligible, currently licensed CPA, or in progress; EA license or working toward EA with 3‑4 years of tax experience in a business entity capacity is also ideal. 3‑4 years of solid tax preparation and review experience in a local accounting environment, big firm, regional firm, or equivalent. Very proficient with tax software programs (e.g., CCH, Thompson Reuters, ProSystem). Strong understanding of tax laws and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced tax environment. Job Details Full‑time position Monday through Friday. Hours capped during busy season (70‑80 hour weeks typical at other firms not expected). Salary range: $95,000 – $135,000 per year.
