Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a single warehouse location within Versova. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating material handling processes, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. The Supervisor leads a team of warehouse staff, maintains safety and biosecurity standards, and drives continuous improvement in warehouse operations.Essential Job FunctionsOversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, order fulfillment, and transportationSupervise and participate in physical inventory counts and reportingImplement and maintain warehousing processes for all operational aspectsMonitor inventory levels and make restocking recommendationsEnsure excellent customer service to internal stakeholdersIdentify and implement operational efficiency improvementsConduct regular quality control checks and address any issuesMaintain safety and biosecurity protocols within the warehouseTrain and mentor warehouse staff on best practices and proceduresCoordinate with other departments to meet operational goalsPrepare and submit regular performance reports to managementManage warehouse equipment and ensure proper maintenanceOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field3+ years of experience in warehouse operationsSupervisory experience in a warehouse environmentKnowledge of inventory management principles and practicesProficiency in warehouse management softwareStrong leadership and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsOSHA certificationExperience with lean management principlesFamiliarity with agricultural or food industry warehousingBilingual in English and SpanishWork EnvironmentThis position is based at a single warehouse location and involves a mix of office work and floor presence. The Warehouse Supervisor must be comfortable in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to various temperatures, noise levels, and physical activities. The role requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and the ability to move throughout the warehouse. Some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to address operational issues or coordinate with other shifts.
