Job Description: The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a part-time faculty to teach ECN102 Introductory Macroeconomics. Course description: Introduction to macroeconomics. Gross domestic product, unemployment, money, inflation, and related topics. This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible. Employment offers at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities, the candidate's education, training, work experience and key competencies, the university's strategic priorities, internal peer equity, applicable federal state, local laws, grant funding, and contractual requisites, and external market analysis. This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200.

Qualifications: Minimum of MA in Economics with excellent teaching experience of economic courses at the undergraduate level and strong class evaluations.

Responsibilities: Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the start of class date. Preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner. Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
