Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. What You Will Do Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients. Measure and record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures. Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinical setting. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred. Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred. Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred. EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred. Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA),American Medical Technologists (RMA),National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), andNational Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred. Additional Requirements: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
