RN - ICU

RN ICUSeeking RNs for an ICU position. Candidates must have a strong background in critical care nursing. Patient types include multi-system organ failure, DKA, sepsis, COPD, CHF, COVID, pneumonia, AKI, CKD, and cardiac ICU cases. Experience with ventilated/sedated patients is required. Knowledge of trach, ventilators, bipaps, chest tubes, arterial lines, and cardiovascular complications is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with vasopressor and sedation titration. Experience in CRRT, insulin drips, and balloon pump/impella is a plus. Patient ratios in ICU are 1:1-2 based on acuity and 1:3-4 in stepdown. Support on the unit includes CNAs, charge nurses, and nursing supervisors available 24/7. The charting system used is EPIC, and familiarity is preferred. Floater roles may include SICU and telemetry units. Weekend rotations expected every other weekend. Holiday expectations are one summer and one winter holiday. Scrub colors are navy for RNs. Candidates should expect to perform all phlebotomy draws.
