About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Labor and Delivery experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - NRP - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Description: The unit has 29 beds, featuring 4 operating rooms, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms. There are 148 staff members in the unit, including 22 RNs, 2-3 CSTs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Flex Nurse on the day shift. The night shift comprises 20 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Flex Nurse. Patient ratios are maintained at 2:1. Equipment utilized includes Centricity and GE monitors with an EMR system using Meditech/CPN. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can work independently while supporting fellow teammates. The unit performs a variety of procedures, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomies, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and versions for high-risk obstetrics. Preferred qualifications include experience with Meditech, PACU, or operating rooms. Candidates lacking the must-have qualifications will not be considered for the role.
