Obra is searching for a Structured Settlements Underwriter to join our team to help underwrite, analyze, and close structured settlement payment transfer investment opportunities. Below are a list of responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Support analyzing and executing structured settlement payment transfer investment opportunities.
• Evaluate risk on each file in a reasonable time frame and make presentations to management as necessary.
• Timely coordinate with counsel, as necessary, to provide additional risk assessment.
• Manage day to day relationships with internal and external parties.
• Preparing memorandums related to structured settlement payment transfers
• Other ad hoc projects as required.

Education and Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years' experience in underwriting structured settlement payment transfers.
• Excellent research and decision-making skills, and superior attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and prioritize competing demands.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong team player who operates well within an entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation:

The expected base salary range for this role is outlined below. In addition to the base salary, total compensation may include a discretionary bonus based on performance. This range given is a best faith estimate which reflects a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, education, location and other qualifications pertinent to the position. Base salary does not include any other performance based compensation such as year end cash bonus. $70,000-$90,000 The firm also offers robust benefits offerings which include comprehensive medical/Rx, dental and vision plans; 401(k) program with company match; flexible savings accounts (FSA); healthcare savings accounts (HSA) with company contribution; basic and voluntary life insurance; long-term disability (LTD) and short-term disability (STD) insurance; and commuter benefits plan for parking and transit.
