Position Summary

Crowley Nissan is seeking a professional, customer-focused Automotive Cashier / Rental Agent to join our Service Department team. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by handling service transactions, rental vehicle administration, payment processing, and daily reconciliation activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming dealership calls, determine the nature of the call, and direct callers appropriately.
• Respond to customer inquiries, take messages, and provide basic dealership information.
• Process service invoices and collect payments from customers using cash, checks, credit cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Accurately balance daily cash drawers and credit card transactions.
• Reconcile service payments, deposits, and credit card settlements to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Review and resolve payment discrepancies and assist management with transaction research as needed.
• Prepare daily payment reconciliation reports and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with end-of-day and month-end accounting procedures related to cashiering functions.
• Prepare rental agreements and review rental policies and procedures with customers.
• Verify customer information and rental documentation.
• Monitor rental vehicle check-in and check-out processes.
• Maintain accurate rental records and files.
• Perform electronic filing, data entry, and general clerical duties as assigned.
• Support Service Advisors and Service Management with administrative tasks when needed.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for customers and guests.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous cashiering, accounting, banking, or dealership experience preferred.
• Ability to reconcile financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
• Proficiency with computers and dealership management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive work ethic.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive dealership experience preferred but not required.
