Machine Operator(Bo Saw) - Weekends

TRC Talent is looking for a Machine Operator on 3rd shift(weekends) for our client in Kennesaw, GA!

Job Details:

• Friday-Sunday, 7AM-7:30PM

• $20/hr + $2.60(shift differential)

• Temp to Hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs precision tool machining operations through monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.

• Conducts inspections through the utilization of measuring instruments that provide for accuracy.

• Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.

• Troubleshoots malfunctions by editing specifications and ensuring maintenance of machines.

• Continuously performs preventative maintenance, which includes cleaning and maintaining safe workspaces.

• Meets the organizational production goals including cycle time, quantity, and quality to enhance machining excellence.

• Utilizes blueprints and dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.

• May have working knowledge of programming CNC machines to ensure proper calculations, parameters, and other conditional requirements are met.

• Performs work under general supervision.

• Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
  

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role or related work environment

• Strong ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations accurately

• Capable of safely lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and following established safety procedures

• Prior warehouse or distribution experience preferred, with additional consideration given to candidates from the metals industry

• Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred

• Experience using handheld measuring devices and tools to ensure accuracy and quality standards

• Comfortable using computers and familiar with basic computer programs and systems for daily tasks and inventory management
