You’ll provide vital occupational therapy services primarily to K-5th grade students, with occasional work with middle schoolers. The position is split between two districts, Bangor and Hartford, located just 15 minutes apart, allowing you to broaden your influence without long commutes. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping children reach their educational goals and develop essential life skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based OT preferred
• Ability to adapt to different school settings and caseloads
• Skilled in effective communication and collaboration with students, families, and staff
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Passion for fostering student growth and independence

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ needs and develop targeted intervention plans
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEPs
• Document and track progress toward therapy objectives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Support students with varied needs, primarily in elementary grades
