HVAC HelperSouthern Air Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Helper to support our field crews across the Alvarado area and surrounding communities. This is an entry-level, hands-on role built for someone who wants to learn the trade from the ground up. You'll work alongside experienced technicians every day, gaining the practical skills and job-site experience that lead to a long-term career in HVAC. No prior HVAC experience is required — we're looking for reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.ResponsibilitiesAssist technicians with residential HVAC work in customers' homesLoad, unload, and organize equipment, tools, and materialsHelp move and position units, ductwork, and supplies on the job sitePerform basic hand tool work under the direction of the lead technicianKeep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the dayProtect customer property with drop cloths, floor coverings, and careful handlingMaintain truck stock, tools, and equipment in good working conditionRepresent Southern Air Mechanical professionally in every customer interactionFollow all company safety policies and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned by the lead technician or managerRequirementsQualificationsWillingness to learn the HVAC trade — no prior experience requiredAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions in all seasonsComfortable working on ladders and in confined spacesReliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time scheduleStrong communication skills and a customer-focused attitudeValid driver's license and insurable driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screenMust be 18 years of age or older to applyWhy Join UsSouthern Air Mechanical is a growing residential HVAC and plumbing company serving Alvarado and the surrounding North Texas communities.
