The Lab Technician performs hands-on bottling and production support tasks in a biotech manufacturing environment, focusing on accurate liquid handling, product formulation, and equipment operation. This role supports the production of antibody-based products by dispensing solutions, assembling product kits, following SOPs, and maintaining detailed documentation to ensure high quality and compliance with regulated processes.

Responsibilities

• Dispense antibody solutions and other liquid products into vials, tubes, or bottles with high precision using pipettes and liquid handling tools.
• Label, cap, and assemble product kits according to established procedures and production requirements.
• Formulate products, including multi-component mixtures, by following SOPs and formulation worksheets.
• Verify formulation data, including concentrations, lot numbers, and other critical information, to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Operate and prepare production equipment such as filling lines, labeling machines, and lyophilizers.
• Ensure materials and components are stored correctly based on temperature and handling requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete production records, documentation, and data entry to support GMP/GDP and quality standards.
• Follow aseptic techniques and cleanroom-style protocols to maintain a controlled and contamination-free work area.
• Clean and maintain workspaces, tools, and equipment to support safe and efficient production operations.
• Support overall production workflows and collaborate with team members to meet daily manufacturing goals.
• Use basic math skills to perform measurements, calculations, and volume conversions needed for formulations and dispensing.
• Adhere to all SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality procedures in a fast-paced, process-driven manufacturing environment.

• Experience with liquid dispensing and pipetting, with the ability to perform precise and consistent liquid handling.
• Ability to strictly follow SOPs and written instructions for product formulation, equipment operation, and documentation.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and verification of concentrations and volumes.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, capping, data entry, and verification of lot numbers and formulation data.
• Experience working in a lab, biotech manufacturing, or packaging environment (6+ months preferred).
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, process-driven manufacturing or lab production setting.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records and documentation in line with GDP and quality expectations.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks involving hands and fine motor skills.
• Ability to follow aseptic technique and cleanroom-style protocols to maintain product integrity and safety.

• Familiarity with automated filling equipment and production machinery is a plus.
• Exposure to biotech, laboratory, or packaging environments and production workflows.
• Understanding of GMP and GDP principles in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating equipment such as filling lines, labeling machines, or lyophilizers is beneficial.
• Strong ability to follow instructions, work within defined processes, and contribute to team-based production goals.
• Interest in building a career in biotech manufacturing or lab-based roles, using this position as a stepping stone to more advanced opportunities.

This role is primarily based in a laboratory setting with some exposure to warehouse areas, supporting regulated biotech production activities. The work involves standing for extended periods, frequent use of hands for operating equipment and handling materials, and performing repetitive tasks that require precision and focus. Team members follow safety guidelines, aseptic techniques, and cleanroom-style protocols to maintain a controlled environment and protect product quality. The position includes some computer-based work for documentation and data entry, and offers hands-on experience with production equipment, scalable manufacturing workflows, and critical antibody-based products in a structured, process-driven environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Diego,CA.
