Industrial Painter / Sandblaster
Pay: $30.00/hour
DOE Schedule: Full-Time | 40+ Hours Per Week
Location: Laurel, MT

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Painter / Sandblaster who takes pride in producing exceptional work. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who understands abrasive blasting, industrial coatings, surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques and can consistently deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a career-minded professional who takes ownership of their work, has a strong attention to detail, and consistently delivers a superior finished product.
Responsibilities
• Prepare steel and metal surfaces for coating applications through blasting, grinding, sanding, cleaning, and masking.
• Perform abrasive blasting on structural steel, fabricated steel, and industrial components. • Apply industrial primers, epoxies, urethanes, enamels, and specialty coatings.
• Operate blasting equipment, airless spray systems, conventional spray equipment, and HVLP spray equipment.
• Maintain consistent coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, and coating requirements.
• Identify and correct paint defects and quality issues.
• Maintain paint and blasting equipment and work areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work independently while maintaining production schedules.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of industrial painting and/or sandblasting experience preferred.
• Experience painting structural steel, fabricated steel, heavy equipment, machinery, or industrial components.
• Strong knowledge of industrial coating systems, abrasive blasting, and application methods.
• Ability to produce a clean, professional finish with exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• Verifiable work history and references required.

Additional Requirements
• Position is based in Laurel, MT.
• Candidates must be willing to commute to Laurel and travel beyond Laurel on a daily basis as job assignments require.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• A working interview will be required as part of the hiring process to demonstrate skill level, workmanship, and ability to perform the duties of the position.
