Senior Asset Management Surveyor Exeter Up to £60,124 Per annum 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-5 (With flexible working hours) South West Norse is a partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council. The Joint Venture (JV) company was formed in 2007 to provide a number of services to the Council. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Asset Management Surveyor to join the Estates Management team based within our Exeter office taking responsibility for assisting in the delivery of current Estate & Asset Management services. This is an exciting opportunity with the day‑to‑day work varied, but the main responsibilities will include: Taking responsibility for identification, reviewing and providing strategic advice on property management and regeneration issues, formulating strategic plans for the effective use of land and property assets. Undertake effective property reviews and provide proactive and responsive strategic advice on all property management issues. Manage the provision of data support to clients so that deeds, drawings, maps, database systems etc are up to date. Manage programmes of work such as condition surveys, asbestos surveys, land surveys, EPC’s and DEC’s. Manage a drawing/mapping/information/data/media filing and archiving process. Ensure that time and quality targets set for reporting property reviews or strategic property management issues are met. Assist with the day to day/or when required, other general practice surveyor work in accordance with professional guidance and standards as appropriate. Prepare reports and briefings for clients, attending committees and working groups as necessary. Providing effective, day to day, professional property advice to the client and maintain output quality. Provide robust performance management of the team. Working within the various agreed timescales, managing projects in accordance with initiatives and directives, endeavouring to maximise income and achieve set productivity targets. Responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities. Assist in monitoring the income and expenditure of the team. Complying with the Norse Group ISO standards, delivering quality assured outputs. Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post including travel to other offices as required. Our Successful Candidate It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate the following: Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an Estates related discipline Significant relevant experience with at least 5 - 10 years post qualification Ideally experience of having worked within a Local Authority and having some experience of Local Government Reform Ideally familiar with Concerto (or equivalent) and familiar with ArcGIS mapping (or equivalent) Ideally have some form of Asset Management qualification or training eg ACES/CIPFA Strategic Asset Management Diploma.
