Security Service Technician

Job Location Appleton, WI Job Description A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for maintaining and repairing security systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, card access, and other equipment. The technician works independently from a remote location using provided tools and equipment. Responsibilities Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring. Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation. Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. Maintain high level of customer service and communication. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3-4 years of experience installing and inspecting/repairing fire or burglar alarms. Experience with Card Access, CCTV, IP cameras. Excellent communication skills. Electrical/Electronic background. Valid driver's license. Preferred: Fire alarm experience. Preferred: Networking experience. Preferred: NICET II or greater certification.
