Description:
The role involves providing care in a Mom/Baby unit.
The unit typically has 70 beds and a staff of approximately 120.
During the night shift, the patient ratio is 1 nurse to 3 couplets.
Required skills include the ability to perform M/B care and provide lactation support.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include phototherapy, blood sugar checks, and IV antibiotics.
Candidates should possess a positive attitude, be flexible, and work well in a team.
Floating to other areas may occur, but it is rare and primarily as a resource nurse.
There will be a requirement for 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule, but no call is required.
