Our Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurses enjoy some notable benefits: Wage: $35-$40 per hour based on experience Schedule: PRN/Call visits available 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios where you impact outcomes Flexible assignments, autonomy and work-life balance Online training, growth and ability to earn CEUs Tuition discounts through Rasmussen University As a Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do: Provide home-based care to patients with a prognosis of six months or less to live, focused on quality of life Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, RN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care Perform nursing services which are planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered nurse Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family Travel throughout the full-service area is required for this role. A few must-haves for Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs): Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California Minimum of 1 year of home based hospice nursing experience CPR certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance policy Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills and compassion Why Work for InterimHealthCare?
