Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Manage titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips and provide ventilator management as required by patient acuity
• Respond to escalations from Rapid Response Teams and manage direct admissions and ICU transfers at a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize specialized equipment including Hercules patient re-positioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
• Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas where documented competencies exist

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of specialty experience and critical care experience
• Previous IICU or ICU experience with a patient acuity of at least 1:3 required; progressive care settings such as PCU, DOU, IMC, or Step-Down will be considered
• Ventilator experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or multistate compact license required - pending licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates between 50-99.9 miles may be considered under modified terms

• Experience in an ICU or IICU setting with demonstrated proficiency in emergency response protocols
• Familiarity with caring for neurology, trauma, and post-surgical patient populations
• Experience with advanced patient repositioning and lift equipment in a high-acuity environment
