About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Midland, Texas, 79701!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Must-Have: Experience recovering patients from ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental, GYN, and pediatric surgeries Experience with pediatric patients required Experience in critical care strongly preferred Experience with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines Description: Start date is within the next 3-5 weeks. Call required. Experience preferred in all surgeries except hearts. Candidate must have experience recovering patients with various conditions and procedures. Candidate should assist with coverage in the Pre-Op area. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Must be able to handle high patient volume across various age groups and surgical types. Job includes management of ventilated patients and understanding of various anesthesia protocols. Nurse will orient to Pre-op Holding. Nursing staff may have to float between connected Pre-op Holding and PACU as needed. Pediatric patient management is essential. Nurse will be responsible for pre and post-operative procedures and evaluations. Additional responsibilities may include blood product administration, medication management, and emergency response. Experience with charting systems, particularly Cerner, is preferred. About Cynet Health
