Interventional Radiology Technologist - Travel Job

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Tech and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for the operation and quality assurance of film processing, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2-3 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech experience with references. Neuro-interventional experience required.
• Experience performing angiogram and run-off procedures highly preferred.
• Experience assisting with cerebral angiograms, thrombectomy, coiling, and carotid stenting required.
• Previous experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced interventional environment preferred. Prior travel experience preferred.
• Certification and registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
• Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) preferred.
• State radiologic technologist license required.
• Ability to perform and assist with a broad range of procedures including biopsies, thrombectomies, embolizations, tunneled dialysis catheters, ports, lumbar drains, nephrostomy tubes, PICC placement, biliary drains, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, lumbar puncture, CAPD catheter, epidurals, and PEG tube insertion.
• Proficiency with PACS and familiarity with EPIC EHR preferred.
• Must be able to stay within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call days.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday as assigned, totaling 36 hours/week.
• Daily hours will rotate between approximately 7:00am-4:30pm, 7:30am-5:00pm, or 8:00am-5:30pm.
• Call required: one day a week with every 4th weekend coverage. Weekday call coverage 5:30pm-7:00am. Weekend call coverage 7:00am-7:00pm.
• Additional on-call shifts during the week and weekends to support coverage for open positions.
• Two interventional labs. Candidates will work with a high case volume of approximately 12-15 cases per day and may be required to stay beyond scheduled shift if multiple procedure rooms remain in operation.
