Procurement Specialist

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Procurement Specialist/Admin for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e‑houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. Responsibilities Purchase finished goods and raw materials, such as electrical conduit, boxes, wire, fabricated parts, fittings, shop supplies, etc. from local & global suppliers. Make sourcing decisions that demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial terms, price quotes, discounts, schedules, etc. Demonstrate business acumen to establish win‑win agreements and relationships. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Resolve vendor‑related problems with quality, billing, delivery, and return issues. Interact with various construction project teams and manufacturing facilities to ensure continuous supply of materials and deadlines are met.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Computer savvy—experienced in using ERP/MRP systems and able to use the data to decrease the total cost of acquisition. Must possess analytical skills in forecasting production needs and capacity. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Successful track record of troubleshooting, and resolving conflict in a way that is both assertive and diplomatic. A collaborative working style that removes obstacles and promotes teamwork. High School diploma or G.E.D. Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (emphasis on MS Excel). Must have valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening for access to all job sites.
