Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for all age groups, including ICU and ED patients, as part of the respiratory therapy team
• Manage mechanical ventilation and related therapies: Hamilton C3 and T1 ventilators, V60 NIV, Airvo 2, heated HFNC, and Bubble CPAP
• Deliver bronchodilator therapy, airway clearance techniques, and NIV therapy; participate in external transports for adult critical care patients
• Monitor patient response, adjust therapy per protocols, and document in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Collaborate with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and hospitalist services; participate in unit protocols and patient rounds
• Ensure patient and family education; adhere to infection control practices and unit dress code

Requirements

• Active or eligible Respiratory Therapist license for Vermont; license must be on file at submission
• Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; NICU/PICU experience strongly preferred
• Education: Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program; RRT credential required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Ability to work in a hospital setting; 12-hour night shifts; must be able to start within the next week per unit needs
