The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals by managing patient intake, handling vital signs, collecting specimens, and ensuring smooth administrative operations within a small team environment. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this position is vital for maintaining efficient clinical and office workflows while delivering compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake and record vital signs accurately
- Collect and handle specimens following medical protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar logistics
- Provide patient education on procedures and care guidelines
- Operate and maintain medical equipment properly
- Oversee inventory management of medical supplies
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in medical assisting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Proficient in measuring vital signs
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Effective teamwork abilities
- Excellent time management skills
