Employment Type Full time Shift 12 Hour Night Shift Description New Graduate Nurse - Acute Care Location St.Peter's, Samaritan, Albany Memorial, Sunnyview Hospital Department Acute Care Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate New Graduate Nurses to join our Acute Care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role is designed for recent nursing graduates who are eager to apply their knowledge, develop their clinical skills, and make a positive impact in the lives of patients. Key Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals in acute care settings, including medical-surgical units, emergency departments, and critical care areas. Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical exams, vital signs, and health histories. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Monitor patients’ conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately to clinical emergencies. Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including orientation programs and workshops. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards in nursing practice. Qualifications Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN). Current registered nursing (RN) license or eligibility to take the NCLEX-RN exam. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
