Aventura at the Bay
Aventura at the Bay is seeking an experienced and dependable Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and take pride in preparing and serving quality meals for our residents in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with preparing meals, snacks, and other food items according to established menus and recipes.
Follow proper food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures.
Work in the dish room as needed.
Serve meals and assist residents with dining needs as appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
Properly store food and supplies.
Follow food safety and infection-control practices.
Work collaboratively with the dietary and care teams.
Perform other dietary duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in quantity food preparation or food production in a SNF
Ability to follow recipes, menus, and food preparation instructions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Respectful and professional attitude toward residents, families, and healthcare team members.
Dependable work history with strong attendance and punctuality.
Patience, understanding, and compassion when working with residents.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
