EcoReps Intern (AY 26-27 902158)
$14.95 per hourMiddlebury College
APPLICATIONS DUE by 11:59 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026. This is a hard deadline. Come explore what sustainability in action means to you! The vision of a sustainable world is within reach, but it will take all our talents and unique strengths to accomplish. We hope that students from across disciplines, backgrounds, and approaches will apply for this opportunity. We are hiring students for five paid on-campus positions to work with EcoReps — Middlebury's student‑led environmental program — during the 2026-2027 academic year. The EcoReps Program and its interns aim to connect incoming and current Middlebury students to the world of environmental consciousness and sustainability. The 7 interns work as a team to teach incoming students about important issues relating to sustainability and environmental justice, whilst simultaneously connecting them to resources on campus from the moment they arrive. The group of interns includes 2 co‑coordinators and 5 interns who work on sector‑specific work: athletics, waste, communications, managing partnerships, and events. All interns will work on exposing students early to sustainability, in order to help students establish a lifelong relationship with sustainability. They will also focus on how to equitably involve all students, faculty, and staff in community‑building, which includes helping to grow Middlebury’s reputation as a sustainability educator by fostering open dialogue, innovation, and creativity when it comes to big, real‑time issues like climate change. This position is compensated at the Level B rate on the Midd student wage scale: $14.95 per hour. EcoReps Goals: Empower Middlebury community members by helping gain a better understanding of sustainability and environmental issues and how to integrate solutions‑oriented work into their lives. Encourage inclusive community building that calls for equity, observance, and belonging. Expand accessibility to environmental and sustainability resources at Midd. Engage with the fourth pillar of Energy2028 to educate students about the importance of environmentally friendly practices as soon as they step on campus.
