Part-Time Site Facilitator

The Part-Time Site Facilitator provides operational support for Campus Life and Student Union facilities during evening hours when the Site Coordinator or Campus Manager is not present. The position ensures continuity of services, maintains a safe and welcoming campus environment, and supports student engagement, basic needs access, and programming for students attending classes outside of traditional business hours. The Site Facilitator serves as the primary on-site contact during assigned shifts, overseeing facility operations, responding to incidents in accordance with established protocols, and coordinating with campus partners as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Facility Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned campus site during evening hours.
• Monitor facility usage and ensure compliance with Federal, State, NSHE, and CSN policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Custodial Services, Operations & Maintenance, and other support services as needed.
• Complete and submit work orders and notify the Supervisor by email upon submission.
• Implement room changes as necessary in a professional and diplomatic manner and follow up with the Supervisor via email with relevant details.

Customer Service and Front Desk Operations

• Provide high-quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and route inquiries to appropriate departments.
• Assist campus visitors with directions and general information.
• Utilize the CSN website and internal resources to locate faculty/staff for contact information and college program details.

Safety and Emergency Response

• Serve as the on-site point of contact for the Student Union during evening operations for facility and student-related concerns.
• Work in collaboration with campus security to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
• Notify appropriate on-call staff and emergency personnel, including Security, Custodial Services, and Operations & Maintenance, when situations arise.
• Follow established emergency protocols and coordinate with Campus Life leadership, and University Police Services, and campus as necessary.

Program Support

• Support Campus Life programming, student engagement initiatives, and special events scheduled during evening hours.
• Assist with extended-hour operations of the Coyote Cupboard to support student basic needs access.
• Collaborate with Learning Center staff, as applicable, to support programming and student resource initiatives aligned with Campus Life services.
• Provide access to Lactation Rooms for nursing mothers, study rooms, and other specialty rooms.

Communication and Reporting

• Always Represent CSN and Campus Life in a professional manner.
• Report urgent incidents or concerns immediately to the Supervisor via telephone.
• Report site activity daily

Other Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned to support campus operations and student services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of or ability to learn CSN policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during evening operations.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer proficiency, including navigating websites and institutional systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, office support, facilities operations, or a related field preferred.

Working Conditions

• Campus-based environment.
• Duties may require standing, walking, and frequent interaction with students and staff throughout the shift.
• Evening work required (4pm 8:30pm); occasional event-related schedule adjustments may be necessary.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 4:00pm 8:30pm

Schedule may vary based on operational needs and campus events.

Salary Information

$16.00 Hourly

Exempt No Full-Time Equivalent 48.8%
